ReplyDeleteYou have done an awesome job creating this venn diagram which compares the two aviators Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.
From the information you have shared, I can work out that Jean would have been 16 years old when she had her first flight, and Amelia would have been 23 years old during hers.
Jean Batten’s first flight occurred 15 years after Amelia Earhart’s, and Amelia Earhart disappeared only 2 years after Jean was born (in 1937). Both aviators were commercial pilots, and have inspired so many other women to become pilots themselves.
It is amazing how much information we are able to find out about people who were living over 100 years ago!
Things have changed so much since the time of Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart.
Do you think that in 100 years time the world will be the same as it is now? What kinds of things do you think will be different?
